TriAnkle: an innovative medical application for people with ankle joint ailments

Dr. Lluis Quintana, Corporate Director of Viscofan BioEngineering, explains in a brief video what the TriAnkle project consists of and how the regenerative therapy it develops works.

It is a project that has funds from the European Commission and in which 12 partners work: Fraunhofer IGB, University of Stuttgart, Cellink Life Sciences, Viscofan Bioengineeering, Gradocell, UPV-EHU, Fundació Clínic Barcelona, OAFI (Osteoarthritis Foundation Internactional), Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology LTD, Barça Innovation Hub, Leitat, TU/e.

Its goal is to improve the quality of life of people suffering from ankle joint problems by creating custom-made bioprinted implants based on collagen and gelatin and placed in the affected area.
