TriAnkle, at Termis- EU 2025

This week, the German city of Freiburg hosted the 20th edition of the Termis conference. Under the motto Shaping the future by connecting scientific diversity, the meeting focused on closing the gap between research and clinical application, providing a unique forum to exchange ideas and identify actionable steps in clinical practice.

From the Viscofan Bioengineering stand, Lluis Quintana, coordinator of the TriAnkle project and director of Viscofan BioEngineering, has had the opportunity to answer questions from researchers and scientists interested in the European TriAnkle project that develops a regenerative therapy for patients with osteoarticular injuries through personalized implants manufactured with 3D bioprinting technology based on collagen and gelatin.

Also at Termis, Jorge Ordoyo, from NanoBioCel (UPV/EHU), had the opportunity to show the poster entitled: Enrichment of Bioinks with Growth Factor-Loaded Nanoparticles: A Novel Approach to Improve Scaffold Efficacy in Tendon Regenerative Medicine. “The incorporation of growth factor-loaded NLCs slightly modifies the bioink’s rheological properties and requires higher printing pressure, but enables a controlled, sustained release of growth factors. This promotes cell proliferation and vascularization, making it a promising strategy for tendon tissue regeneration,” concludes Jorge Ordoyo.
