The European project TriAnkle has been presented at the NanoBio&Med 2022 International Congress held in November in Barcelona. NanoBio&Med2022 is a reference meeting point for experts in the field of nanobiotechnology and nanomedicine, where the most recent international developments are presented. At this event, industry, academia, and governmental and non-governmental institutions discuss emerging and future trends in the converging fields of nanotechnology, biotechnology, and medicine.
It is in this context that Jorge Ordoyo, PhD student of the NanoBioCel group at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), has presented TriAnkle as a project whose objective is to develop personalized scaffolding based on collagen and gelatin manufactured with 3D technology. After a brief introduction to the project, Jorge Ordoyo focused his intervention on the issue of the bioactivity of PDGF-BB encapsulated in NLCs after sterilization with gamma or beta radiation. For this, it has included a sterilization study and a wound healing test.
