This week, Lluis Quintana, coordinator of the TriAnkle project and director of Viscofan BioEngineering, and Amadeo Tusell, from Trifermed, attended the Medica fair in Düsseldorf (Germany) to explain the results of TriAnkle to potential interested partners. TriAnkle is an EU-funded research project aimed at developing innovative customised implants based on collagen and gelatine manufactured with 3D technology for patients with tendinopathies such as partial Achilles tendon ruptures and cartilage injuries.
Medica is the world’s largest trade fair for Medical Technology and Healthcare. It showcased a wide range of innovative products and services in the fields of medical imaging, laboratory technology, diagnostics, health informatics, mobile health and physiotherapy and orthopaedic technology. This year’s edition welcomed a total of 5,300 exhibitors from 70 countries and thousands of visitors from all over the world.
Lluis Quintana took advantage of the meeting to contact the best users in biomedical research and development to develop the business of Viscofan Bioengineering’s collagen products: VISCOLMA® fibrous collagen suspension and FIBERCOLL-FLEX®3D bioprinting inks.
