The Articulating Sport congress organised by OAFI at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee on 5 and 6 March hosted a round table on the European TriAnkle project yesterday.
Under the slogan ‘Health in movement’, the event’s agenda covers topics such as personalised nutrition, the application of artificial intelligence in sports performance and injury prevention, the latest advances in regenerative therapies and cell therapy.
Yesterday afternoon, the event hosted a round table discussion on the European TriAnkle project. Nina Martínez, Head of R&D at the OAFI Foundation, moderated the round table and presented TriAnkle as an innovative regenerative therapy that designs personalised implants based on gelatine and collagen using 3D printing technology. Dr. Gil Rodas, Medical Director of Barça Innovation Hub, explained the strategies used by Futbol Club Barcelona to alleviate the negative impact of injuries on the sporting performance and psychological well-being of players. Olympic medallist Fermín Cacho also took part in this round table where he spoke about the most important injuries he has suffered throughout his sporting career and gave some advice on how to manage injuries and prevent relapses.
